Nabihatul Afrooz
First Assistant Vice President
Ms. Nabihatul Afrooz is a First Assistant Vice President (FAVP) at WASO Credit Rating Company (BD) Limited (WCRCL), with 10+ years of experience in financial analysis, credit risk assessment, economic research, and credit rating report preparation. She has experience in assessing companies across diverse industries, with particular exposure to the readymade garments (RMG), healthcare, power and energy, and automobile sectors. Her work involves evaluating financial performance, business operations, capital structure, liquidity, debt servicing capacity, and industry-specific risks to support credit rating assessments and informed rating decisions. She is also involved in preparing rating rationales, conducting industry research, and undertaking special analytical assignments.
In addition to her credit rating experience, Ms. Afrooz contributed to the Alternative National Budget of Bangladesh project, which broadened her exposure to economic research and public policy analysis. Her professional experience combines financial analysis with an understanding of sectoral developments and broader economic issues.
Ms. Afrooz holds two Master of Social Science degrees in Economics, one from City University London, UK, and another from East West University, Bangladesh. She also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Economics from East West University. Her academic background and extensive professional experience support her work in credit risk analysis, financial assessment, and industry research.
